Day Trip
We will pick you up from your hotel at 7:30 am. After getting acquainted with your guide, you’ll embark on a 1 hour 45-minute drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its diverse landscapes. The park is particularly famous for its ancient baobab trees and boasts the largest concentration of elephants in Tanzania. You’ll have a chance to observe the fascinating interactions between elephant families during your game drive.
As you explore, the guide will take you to areas where animal sightings have been reported. While predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards can be harder to spot, there will be plenty of herbivores like giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras to see.
You’ll then head to the Tarangire River picnic site, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch with views of the river and wildlife. Don’t be surprised if small monkeys and baboons try to sneak a bite of your meal, but there’s no need to worry.
Afterward, you’ll continue your game drive and exit the park around 4:30 pm, starting your drive back to Arusha.
